Kamwenge District has officially unveiled two new vehicles, one provided by the Government of Uganda and another donated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in a colorful ceremony held at the District Headquarters.
The vehicle from the Government of Uganda has been allocated to the District Chairperson, Mr Joseph Karungi, while the UNHCR-donated vehicle will support field operations, particularly in refugee-hosting areas within the district.
Speaking during the handover ceremony in the District Council Hall, LCV Chairperson Joseph Karungi expressed heartfelt appreciation to both the Government of Uganda, under the leadership of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and to UNHCR for their continued partnership and support to Kamwenge District.
The unveiling event was graced by leaders from various religious denominations, who offered prayers and blessings for the two vehicles.
