Thursday 30/05/2024 Readings (1Pt 2:2-5.9-12, Ps 100:1-2.3.4.5, Mk 10:46-52)  _*THEME: "JESUS HAVE MERCY ON US."*_ Dear beloved brethren, today's gospel presents Jesus healing the Blind Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus who was sitting by the roadside begging , on hearing that Jesus and His disciples were passing through Jericho, he cried out and said, "Jesus, Son of David, have Pitty on me." Dear beloved people of God the account of the healing of Bartimaeus is the gospel in miniature. To the early Church it Symbolised the longing for salvation from oppression, physical suffering, and death. The blind man of Jericho represents the followers of Jesus and Contemporary men and women who have not yet seen and acknowledged the light of Christ.  Dear beloved friends we are all blind in one way or another, let's learnt the following from today's gospel: 1.
