Uganda Cranes have kicked off their final preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after arriving early in Casablanca, Morocco, becoming the first national team to report to camp ahead of the tournament.
The team has entered an intensive 11-day residential training program, focusing on tactical drills, physical conditioning, and team cohesion. Coaches have emphasized fitness, discipline, and sharpening goal-scoring abilities as the squad works toward full readiness.
During their stay in Morocco, the Cranes are also scheduled to play a series of high-level international friendly matches. These games are expected to test team chemistry, allow experimentation with formations, and help the technical bench identify areas that need improvement before the competition begins.
Officials from the Uganda Football Association expressed confidence in the team’s early arrival strategy, saying it gives the players enough time to adapt to climate conditions, recover from travel fatigue, and build strong unity.
Fans across Uganda have welcomed the news with excitement and renewed optimism. Many believe that the early preparations will give the team a competitive edge and increase their chances of making a strong impact at the continental tournament.
As the countdown to AFCON 2025 continues, all eyes remain on the Uganda Cranes as they aim to carry the nation’s pride onto the African football stage.
