Senior four and six candidates at Ntenungi secondary school.

The Head Teacher of Ntenungi Secondary School, Mr. Barnet Nuwagaba, has extended his sincere appreciation to various implementing partners working within the Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement for their outstanding contribution toward the school’s steady growth and progress.

Speaking during a Dedication Mass organized for the Senior Four candidates on Tuesday, Mr. Nuwagaba applauded key partners such as the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), Finn Church Aid, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for their continued support, which he said has played a major role in improving both academic performance and school facilities.

“The progress we have achieved as a school is largely due to the generosity and commitment of our partners,” Mr. Nuwagaba stated. “Their assistance has enhanced learning conditions and uplifted the morale of both students and teachers.”

Spiritual Encouragement to Candidates

The Dedication Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Silvanus Mushabe, the Curate of Kahunge Catholic Parish under the Fort Portal Catholic Diocese.

Fr. Mushabe urged the candidates to remain prayerful and to strengthen their revision as they prepare for the forthcoming national examinations.

“Put your trust in God and continue working hard,” Fr. Mushabe advised. “With faith, determination, and discipline, success will surely follow.”

The Mass was attended by students, teachers, parents, and several community leaders, all united in prayer and support for the Senior Four candidates.

Partners and Parents Recognized

In her remarks at the same event, Mrs. Ritah Tushabe, the Community Services Officer in the Office of the Prime Minister at Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement, commended both the school management and parents for their dedication toward the institution’s continuous development.

“The achievements seen at Ntenungi Secondary School are a result of teamwork and community effort,” Mrs. Tushabe said. “We appreciate the collaboration between parents, teachers, and partners in uplifting education standards.”

She reaffirmed OPM’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives that empower both refugees and the host community, stressing that education remains a vital tool for development and social stability.
