Residents of Buka 11 in Mpanga Parish, Kahunge Sub County, Kamwenge District are reportedly living in fear after a stray elephant invaded their area and destroyed plantations.
According to local residents, the elephant has been roaming the area since September last year, damaging crops and threatening livelihoods.
In the interview with our reporter, Hon. Mbonigaba Fred, the area District Councilor* , has called upon the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to urgently intervene and rescue residents from what he described as “ *endless fear.”
