This year’s festival will be headlined by popular female artist Sheebah Karungi, who will perform as the main guest entertainer. Organisers say the celebration is designed to stir nostalgia by recreating the traditional Christmas experience many people remember from Kigezi, centered on unity, shared meals, music, storytelling, and a strong sense of togetherness.
BakigaNation team leader Owen Katwesigye Bigombe revealed that a major highlight will be a large community choir performing Christmas carols in Kikiga style, a performance expected to be one of the most emotional and memorable moments of the festival.
The event will also feature performances by Florence Musimenta, Lillian Nabaasa, Norman Shaaka, Lady Sarah, Tpaul, alongside the BakigaNation Cultural Troupe. Organisers say the festival goes beyond entertainment, serving as a cultural homecoming that celebrates identity, strengthens community bonds, and promotes the rich heritage of the Kigezi region.
They reiterated that the festival remains committed to preserving cultural traditions while creating a space for families and friends to reconnect and celebrate together.
