Entebbe International Airport Sets New Passenger Record in July 2025
Entebbe International Airport registered 230,577 passengers in July 2025, marking its busiest month on record and surpassing the previous peak of 222,301 passengers in December 2024, according to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).
The July traffic comprised 119,127 arrivals and 111,450 departures, averaging 7,437 passengers per day. The surge in numbers was attributed to the influx of delegations for CHAN 2024, stronger tourism promotion efforts, international conferences, and improved airline connectivity.
In addition to passenger traffic, the airport handled 5,863 metric tonnes of cargo—with 3,961 tonnes of exports and 1,902 tonnes of imports—underscoring its growing role as a regional aviation hub.
