 Amani Yuda Komora is appointed NPSC Chairperson by Ruto.

Mr. Amani Yuda Komora  has been appointed by President William Ruto as the new Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC).

 For six years, Komora will be in charge of the police commission. A Gazette Notice dated August 22, 2025 states, "I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Amani Yuda Komora to be the Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission, for a term of six (6) years." The appointment of Komora comes at a time when the commission is under increasing pressure to reform police welfare and strengthen accountability within the service.

 Yiamiton Siparo's appointment as a Commission member was also announced by Ruto. "I appoint Angeline Yiamiton Siparo to be a Member of the National Police Service Commission, for a term of six (6) years, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces." Their appointments follow successful vetting and recommendation by the Selection Panel appointed to recruit nominees for appointment as Chairperson and Members of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), as published vide Kenya Gazette Notice No.  1181.

 Dr.  The immediate former Vice-Chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), Komora previously held positions as Assistant Commissioner for Human Resources at the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), General Manager of Human Resource and Administration at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), and member of the National General Wages Council. Siparo held the positions of chairperson of the National Aids Control Council and coordinator of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Legacy Localization Project in 49 nations from 2016 to 2022. She has previously held positions with Oxford Human Resources (AU/Africa CDC), the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB), the Population Reference Bureau (PRB), UNAIDS, Futures Group International, and Family Health International (PHI). The National Police Service's recruitment, transfers, promotions, and discipline are all governed by the NPSC.
